Our Story
Green Rank started in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Surrounded by the beauty of the ocean and the mountains, it’s easy to be inspired and to want to protect that beauty. Our mission is to inspire and educate kids to save and protect our planet, in a fun and playful way.
Ge – our cute Eco Hero – came to life in New York, and he is named after Gaia, the Greek Mother Earth goddess. In his journey to save the planet, he’s joined by Oinky – his friendly eco-supporter, and Tricky, the eco trickster who doesn’t care that much about recycling.
What an important topic to teach children at an early age. I love that it is interactive and engaging. My niece love to move everything and watch the fish swim. Such a great book!

About Our Products
Kids are at the center of our products and our products are made with kids in mind. As we like to say, they are kid-tested and kid- approved.
Our new book - Save Our Oceans - is so much more than a book. It’s an experience! Kids read the book, are engaged with “green” to-dos and even get rewarded with the coveted Ocean Chief certificate.
Then, they play with the interactive, companion eBook, to see the characters come to life. In addition, they can also download our free worksheets, to help solidify their eco knowledge, with math and reading comprehension exercises.
Our free interactive eBooks (Save Our Oceans and Green Our Home) - recipients of the prestigious Gold Mom’s Choice Awards - help kids improve their motor and cognitive skills, while learning eco-friendly concepts and habits. Kids 3-6 yo can see, touch, hear and get positive reinforcements while learning through puzzles, award badges and cheers for eco actions completed.
When kids make choices that are not eco-friendly, they hear a disappointed sound and our main character’s face becomes sad. These audio and visual cues reinforce both positive and negative behavior and engage them with the storyline even more.
For older kids, ages 8+, we are working on the Green Rank trivia board game. The game teaches more advanced eco topics and also enhances kids’ math skills through the calculations needed to reach their Green Scores. Kids can make choices, take action and also make eco blunders, through our 4 card categories. To help them, if needed, we included a Glossary of the more advanced terms, and kids can read it to gain “green points”.

Meet Kaiden
Our products (existing and upcoming) have been tested by many kids. Kaiden, the cutest 3yo little boy, was willing to check out our books and pose for us.
As the first book loaded, he was taken with the happy music and started dancing. He enjoyed the experience and, within a few plays, we could see the refinement of this drag-and-drop skills change.
Touch screens are highly sensitive, and it was amazing to see how gentle his movements became within minutes. In addition, we were impressed how quickly he picked up the terminology (“recycling”, “aluminum” etc.) and how happy he was, when he completed the requested tasks and heard the cheery “yay!”. Our interactive eBooks are great for kids. They teach so many skills, and touch on so many developmental milestones!
Meet Our Amazing Team
Maria Gagos
Maria is our founder. She has an extensive background in technology and finance, and she is passionate about the environment. She has an MBA from Columbia and several certifications from MIT.
Cecilia Puglesi
Cecilia is our Art Director, 3D Modeler & Visual Developer, who is passionate about everything animation. She has an MFA in Computer Art, an MA in Animation and a M.Sc. in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media.
Artemio Morales
Artemio Morales is our digital book developer and founder of AltSalt, a studio dedicated to creating and promoting important reading experiences using innovative technology.
I love the fact that my children can either have the book read to them or they can read it themselves, as they get older. Great all around app for any child!
